James B. Ethridge

James B. Ethridge, 89, of Marlin entered into rest Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Visitation will be noon until service time Tuesday. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

James was born February 15, 1923 in Coryell County to Guy King and Jenni Lou Moore Ethridge. He was a teacher with Goose Creek ISD and the Texas Prison System. He retired from Farmers Home Administration after several years of service. He was an active member of Marlin Masonic Lodge #152, the Karem Shrine of Waco, and the Rotary Club. James was past president of the Aggie Club. He loved helping and working with children.

James was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille in October 1986, four sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include his Ex-wife, Peggy Ethridge of Marlin; brother, Billy Ethridge and wife Sue Ann of Oglesby, TX; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
