

Funeral Services will be held 11:00a.m., December 19, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home with Brother Terry Johnston as Officiant. Burial will follow with Masonic and Military Honors in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Jim was born February 26, 1932 to Hurley and Eunice Williams in Clarksville, Arkansas. Jim proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years reaching the rank of Tech Sergeant. He later went to work for the Veteran Administration for 20 years and retired from the Thomas T. Connally Veteran's Affair Hospital in Marlin in 1993.
He was a member of the Marlin Volunteer Fire Dept. from 1980 to 1991 and served as Chief for three years.
Jim was a 30 year member of the Marlin Masonic Lodge # 152. He held many positions including Worshipful Master three times. He was a very devoted Mason and helped wherever and whomever he could. He was also a member of the Karem Shrine in Waco.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Della Williams, parents and sister, Colleen Williams.
Survivors include his children James G. Williams, Jr., of Waco, Cathlene Wester and husband David, of Marlin, and LaDonna Williams and partner Chad Hendley, of Lott; brother, Arlis Williams, of Thurmond, NC; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren on the way; and his best friend and Masonic brother, Eddie Hamilton and wife Peggy, of Reagan.
Pallbearers were the United States Air Force. Honorary pallbearers were the Marlin Masonic Lodge #152 and the Marlin Volunteer Fire Department.
