Jimmy Eugene Herrington

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Marlin with Pastor Cameron Supak officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.

Mr. Herrington was born December 5, 1940 to Eugene William and Sue (Hargrove) Herrington in Marlin, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Marlin and a member of First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1959. He worked as a pipefitter for Local 529 in Waco, Plumbers and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada for 50 years. Jimmy married the love of his life, Diana Louise Stinnett on January 10, 1970, they celebrated 48 years of marriage. He enjoyed being in the cattle business with his father and loved playing dominos with his friends and spending time with his family.

Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Diana Herrington of Marlin; daughter, Tracy Chapman and fiancé, Thomas Goodwin of Marlin; granddaughter, Blaire Olson of Marlin; brother, Bill Herrington and wife, Cindy of Dickinson; nieces, Kristi Click and husband, Corey of Santa Fe, Misti Briles and fiancé, Mike Agruso of Texas City, and nephew, Micah Herrington and wife, Mariann of Corpus Christi.
