Julian Rivera

A memorial service celebrating his life will be Saturday, March 8 at 2PM at the First Baptist Church in Marlin with Brother Calixto Morin and Brother Joel Davila officiating. Anyone wishing to stop by the family’s home to pay their respects are welcome to do so.

Julian was born December 6, 1959 in Marlin, Texas to parents Cecil and Mary Rivera. He grew up in Marlin and attended the local schools. Julian was the youngest of 8 children. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his motorcycle. Julian worked at Fischer & Sons Plumbing for many years and was a member of the First Mexican Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Rivera and his nephews, Cecil Anthony Davila and Jesse Harold Rivera. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mary Rivera of Marlin; brother Joe Rivera and wife Elena of Ft. Worth; sisters, Louisa Solis and husband Jose of Lott, Annie Venegas and husband David of Marlin, Lupe Morales of Marlin; Susie Martinez of Waco, Virginia Vargas and husband Richard of Waco and Mary Lou Stewart and husband Jerry of Huntsville; daughter Felicia Rivera as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
