Karen Ann Little Meyer

Karen Ann (Little) Meyer, 65, of Marlin, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Marlin, with the Reverend Blake Herridge, the Reverend Lynn Starnes, and the Reverend Mark Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 31st at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Meyer was born on May 8, 1949 in Teague, Texas to Byron and Tommye (Bond) Little. She married Danny Meyer in 1979 in Marlin and they celebrated over 35 wonderful years together. Mrs. Meyer loved doing ceramics, helping people; especially the people in Marlin. She was very community involved. Mrs. Meyer formerly owned and operated Majestic Flowers and was a former Marlin mayor. She was a Justice of the Peace in Falls County for the last 8 years. Mrs. Meyer was a member of the First Baptist Church and sang in the Choir. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister; Bobbie Coslin.

Survivors include her husband; Danny Meyer of Marlin, Daughter; Lori Laskoskie and her husband, John of Lorena, mother; Tommye Little of Marlin, step son; Daniel Christian Meyer of New Jersey, brothers; Gerald Little of Riesel, Wendell Little and wife, Glenda of Kosse, grandchildren; Hannah and Lance Laskoskie of Lorena, 10 nieces and nephews, and multiple great nieces and nephews.
