Nola Lane

Nola “Granny” Lane, 85, of Riesel, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home with the Reverend Ludy Manthei officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 14th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lane was born on August 22, 1929 in Benjamin, Texas to Ewald and Bertha Marie (Polster) Jeske. She married Donald Lane on April 8, 1951 at St. Paul’s Church and they celebrated over 64 wonderful years together. Mrs. Lane loved gardening, birds, cooking, canning, sewing and watching kids, but her true love was her family. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s. Her parents and two brothers; Roy Jeske and Raymond Jeske preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; Donald Lane, daughters; Donna Fitch, Linda Jeske, Nancy Edmondson and Ronda Havranek, sisters; Ida Wood, Ruth Gibson and Gladys Smith, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Saint Paul Church or the Saint Paul Cemetery Foundation, 212 FM 2307, Marlin, TX 76661.
