

Mrs. Bautista was born on June 23, 1940 in El Rincon de Guayabal, Estado de Mexico, Mexico to Melquíades and Adelaida (Salinas) Vallejo. She married Dámaso Bautista in Bejucos Estado de Mexico and they celebrated over 45 marvelous years together until his death on January 16, 1999.
Mrs. Bautista was a woman of immense strength and character. She was the true heart of her family’s home a “guerrera” who dedicated her life to caring for her five children and her husband. She found her greatest joy in the simple, beautiful things tending to her beloved chickens and nourishing her family with her famous homemade meals. Her hands were always busy, and her heart was always full.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brothers, 1 sister and three children.
Survivors include her 4 children; Rodolfo Bautista, Lionel Bautista, Delgadina Bautista and Orlando Bautista, 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 10 siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, TX 766612812, on March 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, TX 766612812, on March 2, 2026, from 7:00 p.m to 7:30 p. m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 311 Oaks St, Marlin, TX 76661, on March 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by Committal at Hillcrest Cemetery, 266 FM147, Marlin, TX 76661, on March 3, 2026, from 12:15 p.m. to 12:40 p.m.
