Ruth Mae Baker, 99, of Marlin, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, May 1, 2017 in Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend David Harlow officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 30th at Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baker was born on September 24, 1917 in Thornton, Texas to Marshall and Rachel Holden Williams. She was a bookkeeper for 36 years retiring on March 31, 1980 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlin. Her parents and a sister, Jo Ann Ethridge preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, David Baker and his wife, Diana; daughter, Mary Hefley; grandchildren, Jeff and Michael Hefley and Ricky, Chris, Shane and Steven Baker; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
