Sondra was born April 29, 1940 to Gidd and Doris Faircloth in Monahans, Texas.
Sondra had three passions in life traveling, art, and her family. She and her husband loved the open road and camping. Her beautiful artwork will live on for generations in her wall murals in Tyler, Marlin and Calvert. Her greatest passion though was her family. Her first true loves were her boys. She loved them with all her heart and would do anything for them and them for her. Then along came her soul mate, Ronnie. She and RS loved each other and felt they were the luckiest people in the world to have each other. Her grandchildren definitely knew how to bring out her beautiful smile. She loved them to the moon and back and they loved her. From painting murals in nurseries, to baking Barbie birthday cakes, to the walls in her house painted by them and even when they were older texting at all hours of the night and corresponding on Facebook. They always put a special twinkle in her eye. She provided us with lots of everlasting memories.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie Smith, Sons and daughter in laws Glenn and Carrie Kennedy, and K.O. and Carmen Kennedy. Grandchildren Taylor, Annie, Teagan, Cullen and Taragan Kennedy. Ashley and Hunter Dawson and Kit Newburn and her special fur babies, Catfish and Moochie. Sister Cindy Faircloth, Niece Lesley Merki and family, Nephew Bruce Laughlin and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday July 15th from 10-12 @ the Grace Lutheran Church in Marlin.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in her memory to the COPD foundation. The website is http://www.copdfoundation.org/ search for “In Memory of Sondra Kennedy”
