Susan V. Davis, age 71, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Marlin, Texas. Family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Marlin with Rev. Kurt Rutz officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Susan was born August 1, 1943 in Midland to H. and Chris (Baker) Hamlin. She was a longtime resident of Marlin and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Susan was a 3rd generation from Midland. She married Leslie Davis on August 2, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV where they owned a commercial landscaping company together. They retired in 1995 to Marlin, Texas where Susan was president of the Garden club, music club and the Falls County Hospital Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by one son, her parents and grandparents. Susan leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Leslie Davis of Marlin; brother, Dwayne Hamlin and wife, Becky of Odessa; numerous nieces and nephews.
