

A graveside service and burial will be held at the Union Cemetery near Durango on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 12pm with the Rev. Doug Howell officiating.
Wilson was born December 27, 1918 in Falls County, Texas. He was the first of six children born to Ulysses S. and Mary Ada Janes. He went to school in Chilton and Lott, Texas. Wilson worked as a ship fitter in the ship yards near Port Arthur, Texas during and after World War II. He then worked in the highly skilled industrial refrigeration industry for many years. Wilson was a 65 year member of U.A.L.U. 195 and Masonic Lodge R.A.M. 188.
Mr. Janes is survived by two sons, George Harold Janes and wife Sissy of Anahuac, Texas and Dennis Janes and his wife Tisha of San Antonio, two sisters, Lucy Pyland and Mary Adams, both of Marlin, and brother, James Janes and Mark Smith of San Miguel, Mexico. He is also survived by one grandson, Marcus Janes and his wife Erin and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Ellie. Also, survivors include step children; Patty Richardson, Sue Russell, Becky Gaspard, Tom Roberts; step-grandchildren include Debbie and Charlie Malloy, Steven and Lisa Kroger, Max Kroger, Baron Wiley, Derick Wiley and Layla Wiley and many other relatives and friends.
Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille, brother, Don Janes and sister, Bettie Maxey.
Friends and family that would like to meet at Adams Funeral Home and follow us to Union Cemetery are more than welcome to do so. Please be at Adams by 11am.
Union Cemetery is located on FM 935 W......from Marlin, head west on TX Hwy 7 about 6 miles then turn left on FM 935 W. Travel approximately 8.6 miles to Union Cemetery.
