Beloved wife of Craig N. Melancon for seven years; loving mother of Jason M. Rivers, Sr., Amanda M. Martin (Daniel), Justin J. Melancon, Tabor C. Melancon, Jolie R. Bronk (Thomas); daughter of the late Earl C. Guillot and Thelma M. Grabert Guillot; Sister of Bonnie G. Venable (Gerald); bonus sister of Rica M. Fontenette (Terry), Keela M. Phillipe (Steve). She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild, as well as Godchild Chad A. Saluto, several nieces and nephews, and her Daytona Beach Shores, Tropic Shores family.
Born in New Orleans and raised in Marrero Louisiana, she was a true Westbank girl who ended up on the East Bank. She was a retired Administrative Assistant from Fresenius Medical. She enjoyed vacations, especially to the beach, cruises and trips to Mexico.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, located at 1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown. In lieu of flowers, donations to Donations preferred To St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at FUNDRAISING.STJUDE.ORG in honor of her.
