Anthony Earl DeFiore

He was the beloved husband of Sheryll DeFiore for over 42 years. Father of Lance Anthony DeFiore Sr. (Yolanda) and Tony Earl DeFiore Sr; step-father of Stacie Juge; grandfather of Sadie Juge, Christopher Juge, Devin Folse, Lance Anthony DeFiore Jr, Tony Earl DeFiore Jr, and Landen Anthony DeFiore; great grandfather of Aryiana Bailey, Karleigh Juge, Isaiah Juge, Aubrey Heisser; Son of the late Earl J. DeFiore and Gloria O. DeFiore; brother of Carmen DeFiore White (Ronald), and Debbie D. Desselle (William); special uncle to Cody Allan Desselle. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was a devoted Tug Boat Captain for over 29 years, having worked on the Mississippi River since he was 17. When he was not working, he loved spending time with his family or fishing, or better yet both. In 1993, he set a Guinness World Record for the largest catfish caught, weighing in at 70 lbs. The strange thing is that he was only using a 10lb test line. He was a people person, and loved life on his own terms.
