Barbara "Shucy" Bourgeois Rogers passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on January 31, 1937 in Marrero, Louisiana to the late Victor and Celemie Bourgeois. She was married to the late Herman Antoine Rogers for 68 loving years. Devoted mother of Ronald R. Rogers and his wife Cheryl, and Ryan G. Rogers and his wife Tina. Proud Grandmother of Justin Rogers (Tiffani), Raven Rogers, Raleigh Rogers, Mathew Rogers, and Ramsey Rogers, and great grandmother of Cash and Cruz Rogers. Barbara is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Barbara's family would like to extend their gratitude to Debbie Prejeant, her niece (honorary daughter), for her love, care and compassion.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 8:30AM and continue until the service time. Barbara will be laid to rest with her late husband at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
