Belva Jewel Howell

Belva “Belle” Howell, beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Howell passed away peacefully on January 31, 2012, age 80 years, born in Buffalo, New York on July 29, 1931 to Clara Schlach and Otto Zieman. Predeceased by her sister, Ruth Schwab.

Married on July 26, 1958 to Robert Howell. Loving mother of Clarissa H. Walker (J. Wesley), Melissa H. Klegin (David), Melanie H.Holloway (Chuck) and James Frederick Howell. Proud grandmother of Kelli and Kyle Walker, Jessica, Zachary and Taylor Holloway, David and Bethany Klegin, Destiney, Sarah and Jamie Howell and Addison and Jacob Howell Nestor.Great grandmother to Abigail Grayce, and eagerly awaiting the birth of Mollie Belle Holloway, her second great grandchild. Also missed by her brother-in-law, Charles Howell.

Belva was a member of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod her entire life and her fine voice blessed many church choirs with wonderful hymns through the years. Belva wanted nothing in life but to be a wife, mother and a grandmother and she was blessed to enjoy all those rolls in her lifetime. We thank God for giving us this wonderful woman with whom to share our lives. She is dearly loved and sorely missed by family and friends. In remembrance of Belle, please take your favorite sweetie to dinner.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LETZ-EAGAN FUNENAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO, LA. at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
