Betty Ann Pevey

Betty Ann Powell Pevey was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 29,2015. God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Betty was blessed with a large and loving family and was surrounded by many loved ones at the time of her passing at the age of 68. Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Farrell Pevey; her four daughters, Mary Margaret (Catherine), Rhonda P. Robert (Darrren), Patricia P. Smith, Dianna P. Graves (Scott). Sister of Versie Nicoll, Mary Mendez (Willie), DeeDee Cousin, Johnny Powell (Celeste) and Dennis Powell (Marion). A proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Dustin, Anthony, Colton, Brea, Brian, Jr., Taylor, Austin, DJ, Christian, Alex and 1 great grandchild, Zoe as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine “Nola” Dupuy Powell and John “Eddie” Edward Powell, her brother James Powell; son-in-law, Brian Smith as well as other family members.

Betty never met a stranger. She had an amazing generous heart and soul and always put others before herself. She touched so many lives and she always saw the best in people. To know Betty was to love her. Her family will miss her dearly and will always be thankful for the gift of her life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation from 10:00 am until Funeral time. Interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
