

Bonnie Marie Cutrer Fowler, 89, wife for 71 years of Lloyd (Buddy) Fowler, Jr., passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021, in her home. She leaves behind her loving husband and 6 children: Jeff (Kathrin) Fowler, Mary (Butch) Schell, Jody (Dennis) Barrios, Robin (Gary) Turk, Rebecca Mabry, and Jim (Tina) Fowler, as well as 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, sister Audrey Merchant of Bakersfield, CA, in-laws Shirley Hackel of Winter Haven, FL, and Paul (Norma) Fowler of Foley, AL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bonnie was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Fowler Hebert, parents Nelson and Wilma Cutrer and sisters Thelma Ezell of Tucson, AZ and Hazel Cutrer of Kentwood, LA.
She was an accomplished student and honor graduate of Kentwood High School class of 1948 where she had perfect attendance and received a Scholarship from Southeastern University in Hammond, LA. She was a long time member of First Pentecostal Church of Marrero.
Bonnie is remembered as a loving stay-at-home Mom until her last child began school. She then worked at Breaux Mart as a cashier until she retired to Tucson, AZ, at the age of 57. Upon, returning to Marrero in 1999, she again was the center of her extended family. She loved crocheting blankets – from baby blankets to king sized blankets for her beloved family and friends.
Family and friends, members of First Pentecostal Church and Breaux Mart friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, October 2, 2021 beginning at 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at First Pentecostal Church located at 3200 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA. A Celebration of Life and Homegoing Service will be officiated by Bishop Michael Sartin at 11:00 AM. Special thanks to Heart of Hospice for their gentle care of our precious mother.
