Carroll Joseph Malbrough

Carroll Joseph “C.J.” Malbrough passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the age of 74. A native of Thibodaux, he was raised in Gretna, and lived in Marrero for over 20 years. He was the beloved husband of over 50 years of Carole Nicholson Malbrough. He was the father of Michelle Malbrough Clayton and father-in-law of Brian Clayton. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Fourcade who was the first to nickname him “Brother”; two brothers, Billy Malbrough and Bobby Ray Malbrough; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was a US Marine who retired in sales management from Swift Meat Company and worked for Kirschman’s Furniture, Rooms-to-go, and Mattress Direct. At the time of his death, he served as the manager of the Westbank location of Mattress Direct.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and continue Monday from 8:00 AM until the Mass. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
