Celise Denise Watts

Celise Denise Watts passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the age of 58. She was the daughter of Irene Barras and the late Jerry Watts. Sister of Nanette Phan (Mike), and Joey Watts (Allison), as well as the late Randy Watts, Tonnia Dufrene (Darrell), and Kemp Watts (Susan). Nanny and aunt of Nicole Dufrene, Jared Phan (Kayla), Nicholas Phan, and Jonathan Phan. She was also the aunt of Brad Watts (Ashley), Katie Watts (Alex), Courtney Watts, Joel Watts (Natasha), and Carly Watts. She particularly loved her great nieces and nephews. She is also loved and mourned by many other relatives and friends.

She was an independent thinker who stuck to her convictions regardless of others opinions. She loved her family wholeheartedly. As an adult, she was particularly close with her mother. She loved volunteering with the Senior Center in Westwego, going with her mother on casino trips. She never met a stranger. She was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. Her amazing cooking, open listening ear, and wonderful heart will be deeply missed.
