Charles “Alvin” Burns passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 27, 2022 at the age of 63. He was born on October 9, 1959 in Boynton Beach, Florida to Henry and the late Barbara Burns. Loving father of Melba Bonck. Proud grandfather of Bryce Lowery, Gage Marroy and Bailey Bonck. Brother of Berry “Wayne” Burns, Anthony L Burns (Rachael) and the late Cindy Burns. Alvin is also survived by his girlfriend, Tammy Wagner and his nieces and nephews, Mark Burns, Madyson Burns, Josee Torres, Mason Burns and Jaden Burns.
Alvin worked as a foreman at Avondale shipyard for 18 years. He then moved on to be a truck driver for Packard Truck Lines for the past 12 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing steel tip darts, He was a member of many leagues over the years. Alvin was loved and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
