Clarence Joseph “Mr. Pat” Matherne Jr. lost his battle with PSP and passed away at his residence on June 11, 2014 with his loving family at his side. He was a lifelong resident of Lafitte, LA and police chief for the Town of Jean Lafitte for 14 years.
Beloved husband of Marian C. Matherne for the past 57 years. He is survived by his children, Georganna Matherne, Clarence P. Matherne (Royale Ann), David Matherne Sr., and Todd Matherne. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. Matherne Sr., and Rose L. Muscarello Matherne. Brother of the late Sheila Coulon (Eugene). Grandfather of Nicole (Joshua), Nicholas, David Jr., Brittney, and Brooke (T.J.), as well as his grand dog Jean. Also survived by two great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Our family would like to thank his hospice nurses, Melinda Harlow RN and Lou Howard NA for the excellent hands on care. Thanks to the many others who were on the team of Egan Employees.
