Claude Allen Meaux

Claude Allen Meaux of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 91. He was born in Abbeville, Louisiana to the late David Meaux and Viola Toups Meaux. Claude was married to Bernice Gros Meaux for 70 loving years. Devoted father of Claudette Meaux Gautreaux (R. David), Bryan W. Meaux (Kathy Mulkey), Lyndon K. Meaux (Tammy), and the late Steven A. Meaux (Jodie). Proud grandfather of Michelle Miller (Danny), Ted Meaux, Jeremy Gautreaux (Frannie), Suzanne Gautreaux, Brady Meaux (Laura), Travis Meaux, Keith Meaux, Melanie Kocsis (Jason), Jamie Meaux (Zachary), and 18 great grandchildren. Brother of Stella Bond (the late Ray), the late Sylvia Hill (Marzell), the late Yvonne Meaux, and the late David Meaux, Jr. Claude is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who are left to cherish his memory.

Claude proudly served the United States in the Army during the Korean conflict era. After his retirement from American Standard, he owned Joyce's Sandwich Shop and his lawn care business. Claude was a proud participant of the Senior Olympics where he enjoyed bowling. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and trolling. When he wasn't working he was playing music with his beloved family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:30AM and continue until the service time. Claude will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
