David Clinton Cobb, Sr. passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Shirley T. Cobb for over 59 years. He was the father of Judy Hays (Jack), David Cobb, Jr., Bonnie Costigan (Brian), Thurston Cobb (Eva), and the late Lonnie Dale Cobb (Pearl). He is survived by two sisters, Rodie and Dovie, as well as especially close relatives Derrick Duplessis and Emma Kelly. He was predeceased by two brothers, W.C. and L.C. as well as a sister, Opal. He was also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Friends and relatives of the family, as well as employees of Jefferson Fiberglass and members of Church in an Home are invited to attend the funeral service in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and continue on Saturday from 8:30 AM until the funeral service. Interment will be private.
