David John Gomez

David John Gomez, born April 9, 1961 passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 5, 2024, at the age of 63. He is survived by his two children, Darren and Gabe Gomez; brothers, Bruce (Lucinda) and Lester Gomez, Jr; sister, Cheryl Gomez-Ray (Steve); godchild, Rai Lynne Delaune (Gerald); nieces, Erika Ray, Kait Lynne Till (Ronnie) and Isabella Chauncey; nephew, Jason Chauncey and a hose of special cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Gomez, Sr.; mother, Marcella Seminary; brothers, Perry Wood, Jr. and Glen Gomez (Stephanie).

David was the business owner of Clearview Window Cleaning for years. From there, he was employed by Marten Transport where he was able to see the country and was awarded the Million Mile Award.

David loved to cook in true New Orleans fashion and was always ready for a good crawfish boil. He loved Mardi Gras parades and heavy metal. David loved to laugh and make other laugh and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Anvoi Hospice Care for their compassion and support.

Per Davids wishes, the family will celebrate his life with a crawfish boil which will be announced at a later date.
