Doris Jeanne Morse

Doris was the wife of John Morse, to whom she was married 21 years, and the late Frederick Heine; the daughter of the late Leonard and Virginia Acker; mother of James Raymond Heine (companion Cindy Smith), Susan Renee Heine Mattei (husband Wade), Richard Allan Heine (wife Suzanne Flad); step-mother of Shawn Rohrbacker (husband Jay), and Jeannell Morse (husband Casey Kasim); grandmother of D.J. Miller, Sarah King, Dena Daigle, Lance Heine, Darren Heine, Meagan Daigle, Stephen Miller, Sean Miller, Shannon Heist, Ryan Mattei, Elizabeth Mattei, Kristen Mattei, Shay, Jude, and Jacob Rohrbacker , Mario Hernandez, Jenna and Amir Kasim; great grandmother of ten; sister of Marian Lee Crabtree (husband John), Judy Rogers, Janet Baza, and the late Bob Acker; and aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was a very motivated and active member of Anchor of Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed working on the bulletin, as well as her lifelong participation in the choir, particularly in her role as Music Director. Doris lived for her family. She provided the sunshine which gave light to our lives. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and confidant to all. She was truly an angel on earth, and now in Heaven.

Visitation will be held at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana, on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by A Celebration of Her Life in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
