

Dorothy “Dot-T” Anna LeCompte Wilson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 31st, 2022. She was a lifelong native of Marrero, Louisiana born to the late Emile and Helen Guidry LeCompte. Dorothy was married to the late Robert “Bobby” Wilson, Sr. for 70 years before he passed away in 2016. Devoted mother of Barbara Wilson Brasset (Evans Jr.), Robert F. Wilson, Jr. (Joan), Kim Wilson Camardelle (Kenneth), Kevin M. Wilson (Kathy), and Ken P. Wilson (Nadine). Proud grandmother of Shannon Brasset Livaudais, Amy Brasset Price, Cortney Wilson, Robert Wilson III, Amanda Artigue Foster, Grant Artigue, Jason Camardelle, Jared Camardelle, Erica Wilson Bellio, Nicholas Wilson, Amanda Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Faith Wilson, and Hope Wilson. Great grandmother of 12. Sister of the late Edna Hebert, Elma Crout, Emile LeCompte, Jr., Marie Richard, Roy LeCompte, Clara Bell Sullivan, and Doris Matherne. Dorothy is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Dot-T retired from Immaculate Conception Catholic School cafeteria after many years of cooking for school children. Not only did she enjoy cooking for the school, but loved to cook and provide for her family and friends. She enjoyed being around people, listening to good music (especially Christmas) , playing Bingo, watching the birds in her yard, and gardening. Mostly, she enjoyed spending quality time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Dot-T had a witty sense of humor and will be remembered for her laughs and jokes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 in the chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Interment will follow the Mass at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
