Edward Keith Powell passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the age of 50. He was the beloved husband of Susan Roberts Powell for just over 20 years. Father of Jessica Pfister (Jimmie), Ashley Trent (fiance’ Kevin Ranatza), and Brittany Powell. Son of Joan W. Powell and the late Billy E. Powell. Brother of Cheryl Howard (Danny.) Uncle of Amy Howard and Jessica Caines. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. He was a native of Luling and resident of St. Rose. He graduated from Hahnville High School in 1979. He was a truck driver for Winn Dixie, Saia Motor Freight and MARS Inc. He loved to hunt and fish with his Dad, family, and friends, and was an avid Nascar fan.
A Funeral Service will be held at Life Church, 13271 Highway 90, Boutte, on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at the church on Tuesday at 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM, and resume on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the service. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Garden.
