Elton Paul Gautreaux Sr.

Elton Paul Gautreaux, Sr. entered peacefully into heaven on Thursday, January 1, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Loretta Maillet Gautreaux. Loving father of Elton Paul Gautreaux, Jr. (Deborah), Tina Gautreaux, Rhonda Gautreaux Boudreaux (Kevin, Sr.). A proud grandfather of Justin Gautreaux, Alyssa Barrios, Chase Guillot, Sr., Jaron Guillot, Kevin Boudreaux, Jr., Stephanie Boudreaux and 6 great grandchildren. Son of the late Verna Dore Gautreaux and Clifton Gautreaux, Sr. Brother of Clifton Gautreaux, Jr. (Jan) and Elizabeth G. Riddle (Bill). Son-in-law of the late Mable Scioneaux Maillet and Dallas Maillet. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 67, a native of New Iberia, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. “Al” was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army. He worked for Halliburton and Nabors for numerous years before retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of St. Joachim Catholic Church, 5505 Barataria Blvd. Marrero, LA. Visitation from 9:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
