Ennis Joseph Marcel Jr.

On March 9th at 3:58PM Ennis Marcel Jr. passed away at the age of 68 years old. He was a native and resident of Harvey, La. Ennis was preceded in death by his parents Ennis Marcel Sr. and Shirley Aquilard Marcel. He was loved and adored by his two children Tracy Marcel and Stacey Marcel Goldsmith. He was known as PaPa by his grandchildren Meagan Marcel, Allie Marcel, Brittany Goldsmith and Justin Goldsmith. He was blessed with three great grandchildren Lexi, Nolan and Landon Goldsmith. Survived by his siblings Lorraine, Dave (Pat), Stephen(Lana), Jefferey (Faith)Marcel and Mary Champagne(Donald). He was an uncle and great uncle to many of his nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War on several aircraft carriers, the USS Ranger and the USSS Coral Sea. He proudly served his country for 14 years in the US Navy. He loved spending special time with his family and friends shooting pool, dinning out and going to the movies. He will be missed sadly by his family and friends but especially by his two children Tracy and Stacey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Westside Leitz- Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La 70072 on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 9:30AM till 12:45PM a Funeral Mass will follow in our chapel at 1:00PM.
