Garrell Stephen Adam, Jr. Beloved husband, father and son passed away on March 9, 2021. Preceded in death by his Queen Wanda “Jane” Adam, and his parents Garrell and Audrita Rojas Adam. Survived by his loving and devoted children Sabrina and Tom Hernandez, Garelyn and Paul Dinet and Samantha and Stephen Gambino. He is also survived by his “gang” of grandchildren Madison, Paul Jr., Garrell “Gus”, Stephen Jr., Mateo and baby River Jean. Garrell was a loving brother and brother in law to Jeff Adam (Roylynn) and Beth Spiess (Kevin). He is also survived by his wife’s siblings who he held dearly, Bruce Autin ( Patricia), Joyce Matherne and Debra Matherne (Louis). It would not be right to not mention by name his nieces, nephews and god children he also thought of as his own; Jeff Jr., Lindsey, Alyssa, Nicholas, Hailey, Bruce Jr., Bobby, Brian, Timothy, Rickey, Ginger, Kelly, Kimblie, Mandy and Louis Jr. His wonderful godmother, aunts and their husbands Janice Cheramie (Alton), Sedonia (Joe) and Linda (James) who watched over him after the passing of both his parents.
Garrell was a son of the bayou. The brackish waters of Bayou Barataria flowed through his veins. He was a friend to everyone who knew him, and never met a stranger he didn’t have something in common with. He was full of life and loved to live it to the fullest. But his greatest love was his wife, Wanda, his three girls and his grandchildren. Before starting his long and successful Oilfield Consulting career at Cajun Consulting & Inspection, Inc., which he opened with his father, he worked as a commercial fisherman. He was the definition of the number one Saints fan, always wearing his black and gold, not giving up those season tickets just for one bad season, and never missing a game (unless he was on a cruise ship). He loved to travel, and experience the world with his Queen, and together they left a legacy for their children. A legacy of love, life, laughter, adventure and determination. The girls, Sabrina, Garelyn, and Samantha would like to thank their family, friends and community for their support and love during this very difficult time. Memorial services to be announced at a later date.
