Georgia Virgin Knight

Georgia “Linda” Virgin Falterman Knight of Walker, Louisiana went into Eternal rest on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born in Barataria, Louisiana to the late Lin J. Falterman and Sadie Verdin Falterman. Georgia was married to the late William “Dub” Cancel Knight for 66 years. Loving mother of Randolph “Randy” Farve (Pamela), Bonita “Bonnie” Matherne-Hedderick (Gavin), Linda Lou Knight, Donna K. Young, and the late Wesley James Farve. Georgia is the loving Grandma of Joseph Farve, Shannon Barquero, Alicia Farve, Tanya Lin, Shane Matherne, Richie Young, Nicole Farve, Randi Farve, Melvin Duvernay, Jr., Carol Farve, Veronica Farve, and the late Ashley Young. She is survived by great grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren. Sister of Carol Falterman (the late Velma), Mary Dufour (Alvin), and the late Jimmy Vincent (the late Phyllis), the late Edward Falterman (Etta/Cindy), and the late Martha Thibodeaux (Stanley). Georgia is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Georgia loved the Bayou life, where she was born and raised. She especially loved crabbing. She loved music of all genres.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 8:30AM and continue until the service time. Georgia will be laid to rest at Westlawn Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
