Gloria Ordoyne DeFiore

Gloria Ordoyne DeFiore entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife of the late, Earl J. DeFiore of 53 years. A loving mother of Carmen DeFiore (Ronald White), Anthony “Tony” DeFiore (Sheryl) and Debbie D. Desselle. A proud grandmother of Louis McKinion, Lance DeFiore, Tony DeFiore, Cody Desselle and the late Eric McKinion. A great grandmother of Arleigh, Arlin and Amelia McKinion; Devin, Tony and Lance DeFiore, Jr. Daughter of the late Edwina Triche Ordoyne and Oscar Ordoyne. Sister of Ernestine “Tiny” Burnet (Melvin) and Floyd Ordoyne (Betty). Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Eva O. Laurent, Dale O. Adams, Roy Ordoyne, and Enola Faulk. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gloria retired from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department after many years of service and owner of Earl’s Bar and Canoe Rental in Crown Point. She enjoyed cooking, crochet and spending time with her grandchildren, family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 9:00 am until Mass time. Interment following in St. Pius Cemetery in Crown Point.
