Gloria Jane Compeaux Kieff

Gloria Jane Compeaux Kieff, of Marrero, Louisiana joined our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born in Cutoff, Louisiana to the late Morris and Sadie Compeaux. Gloria was married to the late John "JD" Kieff, Sr. for 57 years before his passing in 2007. Devoted mother of John D. Kieff, Jr. (Mary), Craig A. Kieff (Maria), and Nancy K. Sanchez (Joe), and the late Paula Jane Kieff and Vanessa Dale Kieff. Proud Maw Maw of Jessica Lobue (Michael), Jeramy Kieff (Alyssa), Nic Kieff, Julie Stevens (Michael), Jordan Kieff, Taylor Curren (Nick), Jeffrey Sanchez (Kirstie), Amanda Venable (Ryan) and great grandmother of Hanna Hinton, Luke Lobue, Cassidy Kieff, Camden Kieff, Kailey Kieff, Elijah Blackwell, Isaiah Blackwell, Marleigh Blackwell, Madelynn Myers, Gracyn Rogers, Aiden Curren, Ava Curren, Jude Sanchez, and Wells Sanchez. Sister of Dolores Beauvais, Naddie Gomez, and the late Ruby Trosclair, Sadie Constant, Estellina Michel, and Morris Compeaux, Jr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Gloria lived most of her life in Marrero, Louisiana where she began gardening and staying busy with her hobbies. She loved to grow vegetables, but mostly cook them in meals for her beloved children and grandchildren. Gloria loved taking care of her pets, Bingo and Rider, like her own children.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 28th, 2023 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the service time. Gloria will be laid to rest with her late husband following the funeral service at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego, Louisiana.
