Hilda "Mim" Marie Guidry Lambert

Hilda “Mim” Guidry Lambert, 85 of Slidell joined our heavenly father on July 29. She was the daughter of the late Eugene “Pete” Guidry and the late Leontine Champagne Guidry of Hahnville. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Emile “Chops” Lambert and their sons, Gene Lambert (Cara) and Lonnie Lambert (Mary). She was the loving grandmother of Joey Lambert, Baileigh Lambert Carville, Jonathan Lambert, Marcelle Lambert, Rory Lambert, Brett Lambert and Emilee Lambert.

She is also survived by her sisters Verna Guidry Paco and Joyce Guidry Brown. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lois Guidry Combel and Enola Guidry Wheeler.

Hilda attended Hahnville High School and Moler Beauty College of New Orleans. After raising her two sons, Hilda worked at D. H. Holmes and then at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where she retired after 20 years. She was the recipient of the St. Louis Medallion and continued her services of faith through Our Lady of Lourdes prayer shawl ministry and Our Lady of Lourdes rosary group in Slidell. Hilda reigned as the 2006 Queen of the “Krewe of LUL”.

She will be loved and dearly missed by all whose hearts she touched.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, LA on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00am. Visitation from 9:00am until Mass time. Interment following in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft, LA.
