Jacqueline Booker-Adams

Jacqueline "Jackie" Booker-Adams, of Marrero, Louisiana gained her angel wings on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 67. She was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late John Booker, Sr. and Marie Cyprain. Jackie was married to the late John Christopher Adams for over 40 years. Together they had two daughters Tamara C. West (Edward) and Joan M. Harris (Raymond). Maw Maw of Prince Albert, Jr., Christopher Albert, Tyron Albert, Remy Harris, and Davon West. Great Grandmother of Tyron R. Albert II, Harlem Jade Albert and Brooklyn Marie Albert. Sister of Elena Jones (the late August), Joan Taylor (Jerry), the late Betty Booker, John Booker, Jr., Winsome Overton, and Charity Brown (Gerald). Jackie is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends that will miss her dearly.

Jackie retired after 35 years of management at the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter. Jackie's family would like to express their special gratitude to Joan and Jerry Taylor for going above and beyond in their time of need.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the service time. Jackie will be laid to rest at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana.
