Jacquelyn "Jackie" Hornsby Brackman

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Hornsby Brackman, of Waggaman and Marrero, Louisiana went to Heaven on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the age of 88 with her daughters by her side at Wynhoven Convalescent Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard “Red” Brackman, Jr. for 56 year and the loving mother of Frances Fourtunia Comeaux Brackman, Richard M. Brackman, III, and Evelyn Brackman Powers Riehm (Johnny). She was the devoted grandmother of Gary Fourtunia, Jr. (Dawn), Morris Powers, III, Richard Brackman, IV, Katie Powers, Michael Powers (Nicole) and Joshua Brackman as well as the great-grandmother of Michael Powers, Jr., Aaliyah Powers and Makenzie Lin Powers. Jackie was the daughter of the late Obie Lee Hornsby and Evelyn Broom Hornsby and the sister of Roy Richard Hornsby (Shirley), Earl Lee Hornsby (Ginger) and the late James “Jimmy” Leslie Hornsby.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. On Saturday, services in the chapel will begin at 11:00.
