James "Jimmy" Manuel Vinet III

Jimmy was born on February 20, 1976, in Metairie, LA. He grew up in Bridge City, was a resident of Marrero and recently Lafitte, LA. He was a graduate of LW Higgins High School and employed by Avondale Shipyards for 23 years as a Maintenance Welding Technician. He recently worked at Lafitte Harbor as a contractor.

Jimmy is survived by his parents, James M. Vinet, Jr. (Wanda) and Velma Larousse (Michael). He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Marguerite Vinet and Andre and Irene Larousse. He was the beloved brother of Christopher Vinet, Niki Larousse Hebert (George) and Angel Courrege Richard (Rocklin). He was also the companion of Karen Danos of Lafitte. He will be missed dearly by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in the Capel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Interment will follow at at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3540 US-90, Waggaman, LA 70094.
