Mr. James "Jake" Willoz Jr.

James “Jake” Willoz, Jr., age 64, went to be with his Lord and Saviour after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, November 20, 2011. He was the childhood sweetheart and beloved husband of Gloria Alombro Willoz for the past 47 years, the loving father of James “Jimmy” Willoz, III and Stormie Lynne Willoz and the devoted grandfather of Corey James Willoz. He was the son of Viola Flattmann Willoz and the late James “Jake” Willoz, Sr. and the brother of Carolyn Willoz-Heinsz Campbell (Joseph). He was the son-in-law of Gloria Graff Alombro and the late Clarence “Pops” Alombro, Sr. and the brother-in-law of Louis Heinsz, Clarence “Bubba” Alombro (Paula), Lois Alombro Venable (Steve), the late Michael “Mike Louie” Alombro, Brenda Alombro Matherne (Bobby), Mark Alombro (Darlene), Carmelita “Lita” Alombro Laurent (Layton, Jr.) and Romel “Nunnie” Alombro (Cherie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jake lived life to the fullest, came from a close, loving family and was a life-long Saints fan. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and touched the hearts of many.

Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Cox Cable, Universal Personnel, Treasure Chest and Oschner as well as lifelong friends of the “Irish Channel” are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 beginning at 5:00 PM and will last until 8:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel.
