Jeanette Marie Adams

Jeanette Marie Adams, born on August 26, 1940, in Bordelonville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Coherent until the end, she spent her final moments telling her family how much she loved them. She was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana.

She was the beloved wife of Christopher Joseph Adams for 67 years; mother of Michael Adams (Ileana), Christy Adams, April Adams, Bennie Adams, and Ericka Sauls (Arthur); grandmother of Jessica Adams Haley (Robert Jr.), Corey Migliore, Sarah Grace Adams, and Taylor Marie Dreyer (David); great grandmother of Elise Haley, Madison Haley, Matthew Haley, Dakota Dreyer, and Madelyn Dreyer. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Desselle, Albert Joseph Desselle, Jr. and Elbert Desselle; and sister Alberta Breecher. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Joseph Desselle Sr. and Della Verne Desselle Badeaux; brothers, Tommy Desselle, Roland Desselle, and her sister Lolita M Smith; her grandparents, Ovide L. Desselle, Pauline Borderlon Desselle, Joseph D. Laborde Sr and Leota Lottie Baudin.

She frequently described herself as "a small piece of leather, but well put together". Known throughout the family as "Nan", she was kind, thoughtful, funny, and loved her faith. She considered everyone else before herself.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
