Joan Dale Ready

Joan "Joanie" Beck Ready was born on January 16, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana and passed away on August 13, 2021 at the age of 69. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Paul and Elna Hatta Hansen Beck. Loving wife of 51 years to Aubrey H. Ready. Mother of William "Billy" Ready (Mandy) and Lisa Ready Pressley (Gary). Grandmother of Jordan Marie, Madison, Abigail, and Will Ready and Carley Jane, London, Gracee and Lainee Pressley. Great-grandmother of Emmi Perkins and Ace Rodrigue. Sister of Joe Beck (Maria) and Jan Beck. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Joan lived her entire life on the Westbank, mostly in Gretna, Louisiana where she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all of the love and support that they and Joanie received during their time at West Jefferson Hospital. They would especially like to thank Dr. Rian Tanenbaum, Meghan Messonnier and Dr. Robin Staudinger at the Metropolitan Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. William Borron, Dr. Taylor Hillburn, ultrasound department and staff especially Jamie, the nurses on the 5th and 6th floor south, and the nurses in the CCU, Darla McBoom and Rhonda Feurtado. The family would also like to give a personal thank you to our neighbor and dear friend Pete Taulli for helping us during our times of need and Calvary Baptist Church, New Orleans, Louisiana for the loving support. Most of all, would like to show our love and deepest gratitude to Maisie Ready Himel for all of the care and love that she gave Joanie during her sickness. We will never be able to express how grateful we are for everything you did for us.
