Wisconsin. After high school John enlisted in Merchant Marines. Following his service he settled in New
Orleans, where he met and married Loyce Marie Vallery on July 3, 1946. This marriage lasted almost
50 years until Loyce’s death in 1996.
John never met a stranger. He loved people and was known to sit, joke and visit for hours
He had many and varied friends. He treasured the time he spent at Shaw High School and Wynhoven
Apartments.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Loyce and his granddaughter, Nancy. He is survived by
two of his ten siblings, Gina and Cecile and many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin.. John is lovingly survived by his daughters, Carol and her husband Sheldon, and Joyce and Sandy. He is also survived by grandchildren Carol Ann and Eric, Richard and wife Terri, Christian, John and Angel. Additionally, he is survived by great grandchildren Corey, Jayne, Cara, Alyssa and Alexa, and two great grandchildren Kirby and Konnor.
