Joseph "Paw Paw" Holleman II

Joseph “Paw Paw” E. Holleman, II went to be his Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the age of 69. He was married to his “bride” Sharon Holleman for 45 wonderful years. He was the beloved father of Stuart Holleman, Joey Holleman (Jena) and his only babygirl Michelle Honore’ (Edwin, Jr.) and his two dogs Angel and Breesy. He was the loving Paw Paw to his 11 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, Jason, Skye, Kyle, Edwin, III, Kayin, Israel, Zephaniah, Joseph, Yehoshua, Messiah, Joshua, Kayla and Rosaline. “Mojo” to Lee, Lacy, Brandon, Glenn and Gaven Todd. He was the brother of Johnny Holleman (Sue), the nephew of Fr. John Holleman and the brother-in-law of John and Celia Weidner. He was the uncle of Mark Roberson, Lisa Bagley and Jessica Murphy as well as other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Thelma Holleman, his brothers, Chuckie, Michael and Allen Holleman.

He was an avid fisherman, who spent most of his retirement life fishing, spending time with his wife, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and family at the camp. He worked in the oil field for 25 years and he was the owner of a used car lot for many years. He was a member of the National Guard and Gretna United Methodist Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Gretna United Methodist Church, 1309 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA beginning at 9:00 AM.
