Joseph "Wilson" Parfait Sr.

Joseph “Wilson” Parfait Sr. of Marrero, LA entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Born in Terrebonne Parish, LA. Wilson was preceded in death by his father, Linest O. Parfait and mother, Lydia Trosclair Parfait, and his beloved wife of 42 years, Florence Duplantis Parfait, daughter Geramine P. Dufrene, two sons, Kerry and Werlin Parfait. He is survived by Yolanda P. Roberston, Fern P. Grabert, Joseph W. Parfait Jr., Charles M. Parfait Sr., Farrell J. Parfait, Fray J. Parfait, and Travis A. Parfait. Wilson was a well loved husband, father, grandfather of ten, and great grandfather of eleven. He was the brother of the late Mable Andrews, the late Barbara Cummings, the late Louise Parfait, the late Norbert Parfait, the late Linest Parfait Jr., the late Junius Parfaitand the late Wilbert Parfait, as well as Evelyn Henries, Geraldine Hordeckey, Betty Stanley, Judy Avery, Ozema Parfait, Jerry “Philip” Parfait, and John “Pat” Parfait. He is also survived by longtime companion Rita “Nora” Parfait, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Marrero Healthcare Center for the loving care shown to Mr. Wilson Parfait, especially Mr. Philip Sweeney, Dr. Charles Simonson, his special nurses, Mrs. Gwen, Mrs. Susan, Mrs, Roslyn, and Mrs Quita, also aides, staff and Harvest Time Fellowship especially Pastor Donna Burgo. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Park Cemetery in Gretna. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
