Beloved brother of Wayne and his wife Melanie Bean. Proud grandson of Josephine Camardelle and Bertha Joann and Jim Simpson. Loving nephew of Jackie Duvernay, Amanda Barthelemy and Sybil Thomas. Joshua was also survived by his very dear and loving cousins and many friends. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Arthur Charles Sylve, Gordon Michael Bean and Leroy Joseph Camardelle; his uncles Gordon Bean, Arnold Duvernay, Charles Bean, Sr. and Anthony Barthelemy; his first cousins Chase Bean, Michael Bean and Jeffrey Bean.
Joshua attended Marrero Christian Academy from pre-k3 through 9th grade. Then he attended De La Salle High School, graduating in 2006. From there, he moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received his Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Louisiana State University. Josh worked many years in the service industry. He loved connecting with his co-workers and guests alike.
Joshua was known to many as “Bean”. He was always up for an adventure, especially if it meant he could dress up in a costume! He was very charismatic and loving and would light up the room when he walked in. Even from a young age, Josh loved to entertain and make people laugh. Whether it was dancing or singing or quoting movie lines, Josh always had a show to put on! Joshua was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Josh and his brother share a tattoo which signifies their love for each other and for their family. It reads:
“Always remember there is nothing worth sharing like the love that let's us share our name”.
Joshua was raised in a Christian home and knew the Lord. His mother would often remind him of the scripture that shared his birth date.
Joshua 1:5 “Just as I was with Moses so I will be with you, I will not leave you or forsake you.”
A memorial service will be held on January 5, 2024, at 12:08 PM, at Cornerstone Christian Center, 6550 Lapalco Blvd in Marrero.
