Joy Carroll McLendon

Joy Conrad McLendon of Lafitte, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born on December 3, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late James and Minnie Myers Conrad. Loving mother of Karen Barthelemy (Keith), Kenny Pujol (Celia), Kelley Madere (Craig) and Kris Pellegrin (Karl). Proud grandmother of Joshua Koenig (Lauren), Logan and Tyler Madere and Tiffany, Courtney and Karlee Pellegrin. Great-grandmother of Joel, Landon, Ella, Talon, Laiken, Ty, Taven, Trey and Jaelyn and great-great grandmother of Alyssa and Raynell. Sister of Jamie Conrad and the late JoAnn Brown. Joy is also survived by her niece, Elizabeth Brown and many dear friends.

Joy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a hardworking single mother of 4 and made sure that her children never went without. She loved spending time with her family. Joy was also an avid football fan. She loved to watch the Saints play, especially when she could watch her man, Drew Brees. Joy was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
