Karen was preceded in death by her parents Beatrice and Race Schultz and her sister Mary.
Karen is survived by her beloved lifelong companion Gary Bourgeois and her son James McCarty, his wife and three children and her sister Kathy Schultz.
Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus in Westwego and the Jefferson Council on Aging. A very special thanks to the compassionate caregivers who helped ease Karen’s passing from her earthly vessel to the Eternal embrace of God.
