

Kirk Phillip Gros, born on November 09, 1953 passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 67. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Gros, his two children; Rita Jaycox (James) and Rose Jaycox (Michael), his three grandchildren; Jennifer, Kristyn, and Michelle Jaycox, his stepmother Velma Gros, and his siblings; Floyd Gros Jr., Dennis Gros, Elaine Patterson, and John, Warren, and Barry Clulee, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded is death by his parents Rita and Floyd Gros Sr., and his brother Ray Gros.
Kirk joined the United States Army as a young man, and spent several years fulling his duty as a Marksmen, receiving a National Defense Service Metal. He later joined the Gretna Police Depart as an on duty Police Officer. Kirk was truly a Jack of all Trades, very mechanically inclined and could fix almost anything and everything that he put his hands on. His most recent accomplishment was becoming an officer of the Second Justice Court for the State of Louisiana in Jefferson Parish, which he found pride in doing.
Kirk enjoyed going to the casino, playing pool, and riding his motorcycle with his friends but His family would like him remembered most for his generous heart. He would help anyone and everyone, and was always there when you needed him. He will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
