

Laura Rotolo Trosclair, 98 years 8 months, of Marrero was called to Heaven peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday, February 12, 2016 to meet her loving husband of 61 years, S. Joseph Trosclair. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Conchetta Martina Rotolo. Loving mother of Deanna Kraemer (the late Lawrence), Joseph Trosclair (the late Sarah), Alice Cloutet (Emile), Brenda Melancon (Neil), Ronald Trosclair (Valerie), and the late Gilbert A. Trosclair, Sr. (Marie). She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving sibling of the late Daniel “Tony”, Anthony “Barley”, Vincent, Josephine, and Lilly Rotolo. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Laura was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego.
The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus for their loving and compassionate care during such a difficult time.
