He was the beloved husband of Minnie Miller Roy for over 62 years; father of Steven Paul Roy, Kayla Ewing (Barry), and Michael Roy; grandfather of Jessica Ewing, Jason Roy, and Jenna Ewing; great grandfather of Adah Trahan, Grace Roy, and Riah Theriot; son of Etienne Roy and Zula Miller Roy; brother of Myrtle Louviere.
Leroy loved to hunt, fish, and spend time in his garden. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, China Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a machinist for Hunt Tool and H.C. Price, as well as member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
