Madeline Mae Belsome Rojas of Barataria, Louisiana passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on January 20, 1937 in Westwego, Louisiana to the late Alcess Belsome and the late Ruby Frickey Belsome. Madeline was married to the late Russell E. Rojas, Sr. Devoted mother of Russell E. Rojas, Jr., the late Rodney G. Rojas, Ryan A. Rojas (Denice), and Randall J. Rojas (Teresa). Loving sister of the late Floyd Belsome, Sr. (the late Lucille Elaine Borziliere Belsome) and the late Huey Belsome (the late Harriet Courvas Belsome). Aunt of Brian Belsome (Carol), her Goddaughter Rhonda Belsome DeFelice-Mouton (Zach), Donna Belsome Tregre (Will), Ruby Belsom McKay (Dean), Floyd Belsome, Jr. (Nikki), Karen Belsome and her son Frank Burkart II. Madeline is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Interment will follow at St. Pius X Cemetery in Crown Point, Louisiana.
